This app is part of the Neighborhood program by The Hack Foundation. It is designed to help participants connect and check in at points of interest (POIs) in San Francisco. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.

We collect the following types of data when you use the app:

• Personal Information

• Name

• Age

• Country

• Email address (for OTP login)

• Travel Details

• Arrival and departure dates to/from San Francisco

• Location Data

• Real-time GPS location (used to determine check-ins at POIs)

• Usage Data

• Participation in events and visits to POIs • Images you upload (e.g., profile picture, check-in photos)

We use your information to:

• Authenticate users via email OTP login

• Display user profiles (name, age, country) within the app for networking

• Track check-ins and visits to POIs

• Help organizers understand participant activity during the Neighborhood program

• Check-in and profile picture images are shared to other users

We do not sell your data. Your data may be shared in the following cases:

• With other app users (name, age, country, images) to facilitate networking

• With other app users (real-time GPS location) when you choose to share your location

• With Neighborhood organizers to verify event and POI participation

• With service providers (e.g., authentication, analytics, hosting) strictly as needed to operate the app

• As required by law or to protect our legal rights

We collect your location only with your consent and solely for:

• Enabling location-based check-ins

• Verifying participation in events or visits to POIs

• Sharing your real-time location with other users when you choose to enable this feature

You can revoke location permissions at any time in your device settings. However, some features may stop working.

• Your data is securely stored using industry-standard encryption.

• We retain data for the duration of the Neighborhood program plus 30 days, or as required by law.

• Our servers and third-party tools comply with applicable data protection laws.

This app is intended for participants in The Hack Foundation's Neighborhood program. We do not knowingly collect data from users under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will delete it immediately.

You have the right to:

• Access, update, or delete your personal data

• Withdraw consent for data processing

• Request information on how your data is used
